National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day provides everyone an opportunity to do something positive for the environment and reconnect with nature. Every year the Friends of Lake Claremont register an official site for the event. All members of the public are welcome to join in.

The FOLC set a big target to plant at least 2000 local native seedlings on the day. We can accommodate over 100 volunteers and National Tree Day has become one of our most popular events. So why not join in!

Gloves, tools and instruction are provided. We also serve up a free tea and refreshments.

The session runs for 3 hours in the morning, 9am to 12pm, but you can stay for as long as you like.  We also need help from 08:00 – 09:00 to lay out plants.

The FOLC are proud to be leading one of the largest ongoing restoration projects in Perth. National Tree Day is only one of our many public planting days held at Lake Claremont during the winter planting season. Only local native trees and shrubs are being planted to help enhance the natural environment and provide habitat for the local wildlife like insects, frogs, skinks and birds.
