Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Our first product, Wispr Flow, has become the first consumer voice dictation platform to break the keyboard barrier: making people use voice more than their keyboards.

Wispr Flow is looking for an experienced android engineer to take ownership of building and own our Android product that sets a new standard for user experience.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Build Wispr's Android voice dictation and voice assistant experience
• Iterate fast with user feedback to build sticky experiences
• Setup best engineering practices (testing, abstractions, design docs)
• Design for delight: Develop sleek and intuitive user interfaces for Wispr Flows evolving technologies & products
• Ship features end-to-end: Scope and lead technical projects from conception to deployment
• Own the product vision: Define and drive the product strategy across mobile, ensuring excellence in performance and usability
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with the founders and designers to push the boundaries of whats possible

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

• Built full-stack Android applications in Kotlin (send your best)
• Kotlin aficionado
• Care towards code quality and UX
• Strong programming practices and high-throughput of code across the stack
• Outstanding team player and communicator

Nice To Have Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

• Experience with JetpackCompose for layout-free floating overlay UIs
• Experience with Accessibility Services on Android
• Experience with audio applications
• Launched consumer apps before
• Design experience
• Low level systems hacking experience, parallel programming experience
