• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing\n
• Location: Pikeville, Kentucky 41501 (Eastern Kentucky healthcare jobs)\n
• Facility: 3 May Critical Care Unit\n
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Contract\n
• Start Date: November 17, 2025\n
• End Date: January 10, 2026\n
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)\n
• Hours per Week: 48 guaranteed\n
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910\n

\n\nICU RN Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (5 years preferred)\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required\n
• ACLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)\n
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required within 90 days of hire)\n
• EKG proficiency\n
• TNCC certification preferred\n

\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver direct, professional nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages\n
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing re-assessments\n
• Manage airway, pain, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and renal care in a critical care setting\n
• Administer medications, specialized IV drips, blood transfusions, and sedation as ordered\n
• Monitor and document patient conditions, treatments, and responses in the electronic health record\n
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced ICU equipment for critically ill patients\n
• Respond to Code Blue and other emergency situations\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and involve families in care planning\n
• Supervise and mentor other healthcare staff, including new nurses and support personnel\n
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing clinical education\n
• Comply with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies\n
