A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in grades K-12 during the upcoming school year. This contract position, based in Arlington, TX, operates within a well-established educational environment that fosters collaboration and professional growth. The role focuses on providing high-quality, in-person speech-language services to a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct support to approximately 55 students, including many with autism and complex communication needs.
• Address articulation and language disorders for both general education and special education students.
• Utilize knowledge and skills in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, particularly LAMP and Touch Chat.
• Collaborate closely with another SLP onsite 2-3 days per week and maintain regular communication with the Lead SLP for guidance and support.
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet the individualized needs of students within a newly built school environment that upholds established programs and administrative support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid SLPA certification or licensure.
• Experience working with school-aged children, particularly students with autism and complex communication challenges.
• Familiarity with AAC technology such as LAMP and Touch Chat.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing in-person therapy services.

• Coverage includes maternity leave from mid-October through January
