Job Description

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled SMT Operator to support second-shift operations for a high-paced aerospace and defense manufacturing facility in Oldsmar, FL. If you're experienced with MyCronic or Universal Fuzion pick-and-place systems and thrive in a production-driven environment, we want to hear from you. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong eye for quality, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established SMT protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain MyCronic or Universal Fuzion SMT machines, including setup, operation, and minor troubleshooting
• Perform SMT-related tasks such as component placement, soldering, and visual inspection
• Ensure adherence to established quality, safety, and production standards
• Support daily production targets and work independently across various SMT lines as assigned
• Maintain 5S-compliant workstation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• May use supporting equipment such as X-ray, AOI, stencil printers , and reflow ovens as needed

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an SMT Operator (MyCronic or Universal Fuzion preferred)
• Understanding of SMT production processes , including reflow soldering, inspection, and component placement
• Strong machine operation experience with the ability to adapt to different SMT lines
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and follow detailed guidelines
• Must be able to read and write English
• Must pass post-offer medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Work Schedule:

• Second Shift Only - Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM EST
• No shift transfer available (2nd shift only)
• Overtime may be required on weekends
