Title: Leadership & Professional Development Trainer

Location: LIC, NY 11101 (Onsite)

Duration: 6+ months contract

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Management Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing leaders and enhancing organizational performance. Under the direction of the Administrator for Leadership & Professional Development, this role involves designing, delivering, and evaluating leadership and professional development programs that foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

Job Summary/ Essential Job Functions:

Employee will train Leadership and Professional development courses for a newly formed unit called Leadership and Professional Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating Training Courses.
  • Deliver leadership training & professional Development programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Design and write training manuals and materials, including trainer’s guides.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions on topics such as leadership development, team building, conflict resolution, and self-care/community care.
  • Assess training needs and create customized training solutions for Operations and Central Office staff (e.g., creating and distributing surveys and/or conducting focus groups).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Provide coaching and support to leaders at all levels within the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure training programs meet the needs of the organization.
  • Conduct on-site training as needed across the Agency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in leadership development.
  • Schedule training classes. Keeping abreast of all policies and procedures.
  • Produce online training courses.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assist in the production of training materials.
  • Take part in special projects as necessary.
