CDL B Driver-multiple positionsFull-Time Locations included: Oakland, MD., Buckhannon, WV., Greenbrier, WVFreedom Ag & Energy is a farmer-owned cooperative with multiple locations in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland, each with a rich tradition of serving the agriculture and energy needs of their communities. In addition to our traditional ag business, we offer products and services for home & garden, pet supplies, animal health, outdoor recreation, heating and cooling. Our growing energy department serves both business and residential customers.General SummaryWe are currently hiring drivers to operate a commercial motor vehicle including box truck, pick-up, flatbeds, and tractor and trailer combination to transport agricultural products between our facilities and customer sites within a designated region. Load types may include dry and liquid bulk products, equipment, and/or packaged merchandise. Products are based on division and facility location, and range from fertilizer, crop protectants and treatment products, farm supplies, heating oil, kerosene, diesel and liquid propaneEssential Job Functions - Products are based on division and facility location•Operates a commercial motor vehicle tractor and trailer combination to transport agricultural products between company facilities and to customer sites within a designated region. Load types may include dry and liquid bulk products, heating oil, propane, equipment, and/or packaged merchandise. Products are based on division and facility location•Performs minor repairs and general maintenance on delivery vehicles to ensure good operating condition and report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager immediately.•Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory levels.•Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating equipment and driving.•Depending upon location may also perform customer support, inventory management, and/or merchandising functions. Effectively operates a forklift and other industrial equipment.•Represent FAE in a professional manner with customers and business partners. Review account details with customers during deliveries. Provide information on delivered products and equipment.Requirements - Licensing requirements are based on division and facility locationand on state/federal regulations.Education: Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prefer additional coursework in agriculture, plant science, animal science, or a related field. Experience: Requires six (6) months of work experience operating delivery vehicles (box trucks, pick-up trucks, flat beds, and/or other vehicles) and/or performing warehouse functions, with demonstrated customer service skills and a valid driver's license. Requires experience operating industrial equipment including forklift.
