URBAN PLANNER

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Urban Planner to join our team. In this role, you will oversee regional business development strategies, managing junior engineers & planners, and driving business growth. Responsibilities: Lead and grow a comprehensive urban planning and design practice with a focus on transportation, environmental, housing, and placemaking planning. Manage a diverse team of urban planners, designers, and subject matter experts. Ensure high-quality deliverables, exceeding client expectations. Collaborate with leadership on strategic direction and business development. Pursue new business opportunities, grants, and awards. Represent the firm in industry events, fostering professional growth and networking. Oversee the financial performance of urban planning projects and ensure bottom-line success. Hire, mentor, and develop staff, promoting diversity and inclusion. Lead business development efforts through cross-sector collaborations. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Transportation Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in consulting, including project management and business development. Proven experience managing interdisciplinary teams and delivering quality planning and design solutions. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SketchUp (other tools are a plus).
