UPMC Altoona Urology Opportunity! The University of Pittsburgh Department of Urology, located in Altoona, PA, is recruiting two full-time general urologists. We seek a strong practice leader and new graduates to join our growing practice. Practice Opportunities Practice is located in a spacious medical mall 1-1/2 miles from UPMC Altoona hospital. Currently staffed with 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers. Practice includes general urology, cystoscopy, vasectomy, seeds, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, urodynamics, female urology, urologic oncology, and CT scans. Physician schedule: 2 days in clinic, 2 days in OR, 1 day for administrative tasks, robotics or larger cases. Call schedule: 1:3. About UPMC Altoona Facilities include 12 ORs, a specialized cysto room, and a Da Vinci XI Robotic Surgical System. The Ambulatory Surgery Center has 6 ORs. Part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a 400-bed regional health system serving a six-county area. Level II trauma, regional oncology, and stroke center. Comprehensive cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, interventional neurology, behavioral health, and wound care services. Medical staff of approximately 400 physicians; hospital staff includes a 25-physician hospitalist team, intensivists, and interventional radiologists.
