About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid nursing license preferred Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS TNCC NRP Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Experience in emergency care required Charting system experience are preferred Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Candidates will be responsible for managing care for patients of all ages. Key responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 4:1 during night shifts. The unit is equipped to handle a variety of emergency cases, including trauma and medical emergencies. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. The facility is a primary stroke center and administers thrombolytics for strokes and STEMIs. Nurses will perform various procedures and may use advanced technology, including monitors and infusion devices. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Floating within the scope of practice may be required based on patient needs. All candidates must comply with background checks as required by state regulations. References will be required from selected candidates. A natural nail policy is in effect, and compliance with fingerprinting is necessary for all candidates.
