**Job Description: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department**

**Shift:** 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. As a vital member of our trauma center, you will provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population with varying needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage a wide range of emergent cases, including trauma, stroke, cardiac events, psychiatric conditions, and lower-acuity presentations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to prioritize and manage patient care efficiently.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication within the healthcare team to promote continuity of care.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and quality in emergency nursing practice.

**Unit Overview:**
- The Emergency Department consists of 13 treatment rooms, including 2 trauma rooms.
- The average daily patient census ranges from 55 to 65 patients, with nurse-to-patient ratios adjusting based on patient acuity and shift demands.

**Qualifications:**
- Valid RN license with a proven background in emergency care.
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Required Certifications:**
- Valid Nursys License/Certificate Verification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.

**Health and Compliance Requirements:**
- Completion of a physical/health statement and comprehensive health screenings, including vaccinations.
- Successful completion of pre-employment checks, including a criminal background check.
