Description Job Title: Service Technician Location: Irving, TX Department: Tool Service Center – Repair Job Category: Industrial Reason for Opening: Peak Period Support Job Description: We are seeking a Service Technician to join our repair team during peak operations. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient, high-quality repairs of power tools to support our service commitment and customer satisfaction goals. Responsibilities Perform timely and accurate repairs on power tools by diagnosing issues and applying appropriate corrective actions. Conduct final safety and functional testing to ensure tools meet quality and safety standards. Use hand scanners to receive tools, identify issues, pick parts, and complete the repair process. Maintain current technical knowledge through ongoing training and reference materials. Help manage parts inventory by performing accurate picks and identifying shortages. Support process improvements to control repair costs and increase operational efficiency. Communicate with team leads, senior technicians, and occasionally with sales personnel to ensure seamless operations. Participate in workshops or summits to benchmark repair standards and share best practices. Maintain a clean and organized workstation to support safe and efficient repairs. Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures. Work Conditions Workshop setting with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and airborne particles. Must use hand tools and equipment to disassemble and assemble power tools. Safety Requirements Must wear PPE including steel toe boots, safety glasses, and safety vest. Follow OSHA and company safety protocols at all times. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
