Primary Purpose

This role includes, but not limited to, setup of test systems to validate and troubleshoot customer complaints, installations and repairs on job sites (typically hospitals , regular audits on existing product and providing remote and in-person support to customers as needed. This role consists of traveling Monday-Friday to job sites in various cities across The United States.  

**This is not an IT support role**

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years experience with low voltage systems, Nurse Call, access control systems, CCTV
• Working knowledge of electronics, system cabling, and usage of digital voltmeters
• Strong understanding of wiring diagrams (component level experience not required, but is preferred), Relay logic, Sub nets, and VLAN’s
• Ability to configure and edit network setting on various hardware environments
• VMware and system virtualization, deployment, and setup
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Eligible and authorized to work in the United States

Communication and Documentation

• Regularly read and review floor plans, schematics, design sheets and proposals
• Generate status and deficiency reports, consistently and timely
• Update as-build documentation
• Parts tracking (inventory, RMA)
• Complete commissioning reports
• Hardware/Software configuration
• IP address assignment and change
• Ping network devices
• Manage and configure device properties
• Manage and configure Linux server
• Remote browser configuration or app utilities
• Hardware installation
• End point/Device installation (mount & connection)
• Cable installation and termination
• Device verification
• Cable verification

Tools (Will Be Provided By Austco)

• Wire strippers
• RJ45 Crimp tool
• Multimeter (voltage, current, short)
• Network tester
• Side cutter
• Screw driver
• Laptop
