Kinsa is recruiting for a: Plant Manager (RTE Meats) Location : Syracuse, NY
Summary: The Plant Manager, reporting to the CEO, will oversee the operations and management of the manufacturing facility. Plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of goods while maintaining high quality standards and meeting production targets. Works with others in the executive team to push continuous improvement.
Compensation/Benefits: - $140,000 - $160,000 Base Salary

Candidates Must Have: USDA knowledge and HACCP certification.
Essential Duties: • Coordinate plant activities to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Identify and execute cost savings initiatives in compliance with corporate goals including labor, shrink, overtime, cost of quality, purchased goods savings.
• Ensure seamless integration of new equipment, products, processes, and customers into the facility in accordance with corporate standards and best practices.
• Analyze production reports including: production results, downtime, yields, and labor/overtime to develop improvement plans; ensure effective plans and
processes to support those plans.
• Set high objectives and standards of performance for direct reports and ensure the same for every employee in the facility to meet and exceed goals.
• Communicate in a timely manner all situations that may adversely impact the quality and efficiencies tied to product, operations, and the business.
• Foster a sense of teamwork; harness resultant energy, enthusiasm, and excitement of others to achieve organizational goals; display enthusiastic drive to encourage better business performance.
• Establish an employee and consumer safety-first culture and support all guidelines of GMPs, HACCP/SQF, FDA, USDA, and OSHA standards to ensure plant compliance..
• Ensures food safety program, quality standards, and traceability of manufactured products.
Skills: • Must have considerable knowledge of the food industry, industry methods, USDA regulations and food safety.
• Experience with inventory tracking systems and product traceability.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, supervisors, and employees.
• Management in a union environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
