PARK ATTENDANT

PART TIME - SEASONAL
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $14.30 PER HOUR

 

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Park Attendant to join our team! Under general supervision, you will engage in semi-skilled and manual labor to assist customers and maintain our parks, recreational equipment, and facilities. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the upkeep of our beautiful marina area and trails.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform grounds keeping duties in the marina area, trails, and landscaped areas adjacent to the reservoir.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of parks, recreational equipment, and facilities.
• Care for boats, kayaks, and canoes, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Operate light equipment and utilize hand and power tools for various tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and tools.
• Provide logistical support for City-sponsored special events.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform a full range of duties as assigned.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to undergo criminal background and driving record checks.
