Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLP’s San Diego office has an opening available for a Legal Assistant with a minimum of 7 yrs. of experience. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and is a hybrid position (is eligible to work from home one day a week after 45-days), with hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements:

This candidate will provide professional and administrative support to the San Diego office Managing Partner. This position requires prior experience in Healthcare and will include arranging travel, maintaining high levels of client contact, coordinating and calendaring client and board meetings, and providing general administrative support. Experience in Intellectual Property, Litigation, and Coverage is a plus. Candidates must have excellent proofreading and writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage calendaring with precision.

Must have exceptional typing, formatting, editing, redlining, and computer software skills with specific knowledge of Word 2010 or higher, Outlook, and iManage or similar document management system. Knowledge of CompuLaw, Best Authority, Adobe Pro, Comparite, and CCC Macros are a plus.

Must have knowledge of federal and state court filing rules and procedures with civil litigation experience that includes e-filing, and must be familiar with the litigation life cycle of a case.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative, have a positive attitude, have great communication skills, be organized and a true team player. Must demonstrate a proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks forward independently. Will coordinate and maintain effective office procedures and an efficient work flow, follow policies and procedures set by the Firm, will establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with all personnel, clients, vendors and guests of the Firm.
