Charlotte Independence is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Internal Performance Analyst Intern to support our performance analysis team. This role provides hands-on experience in data collection, statistical analysis, tactical evaluation, and player assessment. The intern will contribute to improving team performance by delivering insights based on in-depth analysis of training sessions and matches. Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Collection Gather and organize performance data from matches, training sessions, and individual player metrics. Ensure data accuracy and consistency for further analysis. Work with tracking systems, video analysis software, and other performance tools. 2. Statistical Analysis Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team and player effectiveness. Develop reports and visualizations to present data-driven insights. Assist in identifying trends, strengths, and areas for improvement based on statistical models. 3. Tactical Analysis Break down match footage to analyze tactical patterns, team shape, and opposition strategies. Support coaches with pre-match and post-match analysis to optimize game plans. Provide input on set-piece efficiency, formation effectiveness, and in-game decision-making. 4. Player Evaluation Assess individual player performances using quantitative and qualitative methods. Compare performance metrics against benchmarks to support talent development. Assist in scouting reports by analyzing potential recruits or opposition players. Qualifications & Skills: Basic understanding of football tactics and performance metrics. Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner. Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
