The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and operation of all Cataldo facilities. This includes everything from general repairs to supporting larger projects like renovations or site changes.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform routine maintenance across multiple disciplines: janitorial, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.

· Assist with snow removal and seasonal planning

· Help maintain exterior grounds, including landscaping

· Conduct regular facility inspections and address issues proactively

· Ensure compliance with safety and accessibility regulations (OSHA, ADA, etc.)

· Work closely with Operations and Leadership on facility improvements or relocations

· Respond to urgent facility-related issues as needed

· Manage facility-related inventory and equipment storage

· Participate in emergency preparedness and safety planning

· Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in a related field a plus)

· Valid driver’s license

· Ability to pass drug screening and DOT medical certification

Skills & Experience

· Hands-on experience with building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security

· Prior work in commercial facilities maintenance preferred

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

· Familiar with safety codes and building regulations

Physical Demands & Work Conditions This job involves regular physical activity, including walking, bending, ladder use, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work takes place in both indoor and outdoor environments and may include exposure to weather. On-call availability for facility emergencies, including some evenings and weekends on a rotating basis, is required.

We also have delivered more than 1.7 million Covid-19 vaccines and continue to operate testing and vaccination sites throughout the state of Massachusetts.
