Our client in Beijing is seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Performing Arts to lead our dynamic, multi-disciplinary arts faculty from August 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspirational leader to shape the future of Music, Drama, and Dance within a world-class international school setting. You will lead a talented and passionate team of educators across the school (Years 1–13), ensuring that the Performing Arts are central to their holistic educational philosophy and remain a vital, visible, and celebrated part of school life.

The school offers a rich programme across the Performing Arts, including IGCSE and IBDP Music and Theatre, school-wide productions, instrumental music tuition, choirs, ensembles, and international performance opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and inspirational leadership across the Performing Arts faculty (Music, Drama, Dance).
- Oversee curriculum development and delivery from Key Stage 1 to Year 13, including IGCSE and IB programmes.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-quality school productions, concerts, and performances.
- Foster an inclusive and ambitious arts culture that celebrates creativity, diversity, and collaboration.
- Support and develop a strong team of specialist teachers, providing professional development and mentoring.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team to align arts education with the school’s strategic goals.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote and celebrate student achievement in the arts.
The Ideal Candidate
* A qualified teacher with a strong background in Music, Drama, or a related discipline.
* Proven leadership experience in a performing arts context, ideally in an international or high-performing school.
* In-depth knowledge of international curricula such as the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme.
* A track record of producing or directing large-scale performances and developing co-curricular arts programmes.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* A collaborative, forward-thinking leader with a passion for nurturing student talent and creativity.

Salary Range:
A salary CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
