About the Role: Nocturnist

We are excited to announce an opening for a Nocturnist position. This role involves working exclusively overnight shifts, so candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to provide exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Become a vital part of our established team at St David’s Medical Center as we expand to 24/7 in-house ICU Physician coverage . We have been managing the ICU since February 2021 and are now adding night Physicians to our team.
• St David’s Medical Center is a comprehensive stroke center and a referral hub for neurosurgery and neurovascular care, featuring a 24-bed med/surg ICU and a 16-bed Neurocritical Care Unit .
• We maintain excellent relationships with consulting services like IR, Neurology, and Anesthesia.
• Join our ECMO program and be part of a recognized institution—St. David’s was honored by Healthgrades in March 2025 as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for critical care .

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO).
• Active Texas license preferred.
• A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate proficiency in all technical skills required in critical care.

• Care for a diverse range of medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients, providing an ideal environment for those passionate about treating critically ill patients.
