Job Description

Job Summary: Conducts chemical and physical testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and compliance. Supports plant operations by contributing to product development initiatives and investigative activities. Ensures all work aligns with the companies quality policy, adheres to the quality management system, and contributes to achieving defined quality objectives and critical success factors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts acceptance testing of raw materials and finished products in accordance with established procedures and approved specifications.
  • Assists in researching and developing new testing procedures and methodologies to enhance laboratory capabilities.
  • Supports the creation of product data sheets and contributes to the analysis and characterization of products.
  • Participates in the validation of laboratory equipment and testing methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Helps manage the preventive maintenance program for laboratory equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Maintains an organized inventory of laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Provides technical support to manufacturing operations, aiding in problem resolution, process improvement initiatives, and customer complaint investigations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field.
  • Ability to speak and comprehend the English language as determined through appropriate testing and/or the interview process.
  • Able to read and comprehend and to legibly write the English language as determined through appropriate testing and/or the interview process.
  • Mathematics and reasoning skills as determined through applicable aptitude and achievement tests.
  • A position in areas, such as the maintenance department where specific skills such as electrical knowledge are required, will require documented evidence of competency in those skills. (Customer Focus)
  • Familiarity with the Quality Manual and all procedures relative to the position.
  • Familiarity with Pharmacopeia Testing Methodologies (USP / EU).
  • Strong time and self-management skills.

Pay: $70k-$80k
