Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Analytical Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex chemical analysis on various components of our beverage products, from raw ingredients to final products. Additionally, they will maintain laboratory equipment, ensure adherence to quality standards, and contribute to method development and validation.
Responsibilities:
Conduct complex chemical analysis on raw ingredients, intermediates, final products, and water samples.
Maintain laboratory equipment by troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, calibrating, and repairing as necessary.
Ensure laboratory procedures comply with internal quality standards and external certification requirements.
Dispose of expired retained samples and chemicals according to safety protocols.
Develop or validate laboratory test methods and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
Perform data audits to verify the accuracy of analytical processes, including database queries and statistical analysis.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Advanced knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques, such as GC, GC/MS, and MS.
Familiarity with the organic chemistry of essential oils and flavor compounds relevant to beverage products.
Proficiency in navigating and utilizing the Formula Management System for data analysis and reporting.
Understanding of the composition, structure, and properties of inorganic substances, particularly those used in beverage production.
