Job Title: AI & RPA Automation Director Job ID: 2579588 Position Type: Full-time Location: Hartford, CT OR Remote with 70% Travel flexibility Role/Responsibilities: As the AI and Automation Principal , you will lead the development, deployment, and management of AI-driven automation solutions across the organization. You will be responsible for designing intelligent systems that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and drive business innovation. The role requires strong expertise in AI, machine learning, Application Support & maintenance (ASM) related automation technologies such as RPA, Monitoring Tools, Event correlation tools, etc. and digital transformation. Define and implement AI and automation strategies aligned with business goals. Drive AI initiatives, working with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to integrate AI solutions. Communicate AI strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior management and other stakeholders, along with monitoring the adoption and effectiveness of AI models implemented. Design / recommend AI models for predictive analytics, natural language processing (NLP), and intelligent automation. 2. Automation & Process Optimization Develop and lead the automation strategy to align with the transformation program goals and objectives. Drive the design, implementation, and management of automation initiatives, enabling stakeholder buy-in and ensuring it meets business requirements and delivers value. Identify and evaluate automation opportunities in ASM services and implement them using RPA tools, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, AI, and ML, etc. to streamline operations and reduce costs, and measure and report on automation benefits. Monitor and optimize automation solutions for scalability and reliability. 3. Technology Leadership & Innovation Stay updated on AI advancements and emerging technologies. Drive innovation by exploring AI use cases in business operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop AI-driven solutions. 4. Governance & Compliance Ensure AI models and automation comply with ethical standards and regulatory requirements. Implement governance frameworks for responsible AI usage. Establish monitoring and risk assessment mechanisms for AI solutions. Mentor and guide AI and automation teams, ensuring best practices in development. Work closely with IT, data science, and business units to integrate AI into operations. Present AI initiatives and results to executive leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications & Skills: Must-Have: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in AI, ML, RPA, and automation. Hands-on experience with automation tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere. Strong knowledge of cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience in data science, NLP, and predictive analytics. Proven ability to lead AI-driven business transformation projects. Nice-to-Have: Degree in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field. Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). Familiarity with AI ethics, bias mitigation, and regulatory frameworks. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java.
