Essential Duties and Responsibilities ( Other duties may be assigned.)
- Assist the Accounting Manager with the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Drive the monthly and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the company’s operational and financial performance.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide and reinforce internal accounting, finance and purchasing controls, aligning these with company policies.
- Manage the workflow of accounting approval processes, including auditing and approving the work of the accounting department.
- Support external audits by using and preparing reports and reconciliations as requested.
- Assist in preparing financial information for monthly and year-end GAAP financials.
- Maintain company fixed asset system and related accumulated depreciation schedules.
- Maintain inventory cost system and related inventory activities.
- Make recommendations for process improvements and work collaboratively to implement projects.
- Complete special projects, audits and ad hoc analyses as required.
- Provide backup support to other Finance team members as needed.

Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2 or more years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization Other Useful Skills and Abilities - Advanced experience with MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
- Proficiency in ERP and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record keeping skills.
- Collaborate with other teams in the organization and be a team player.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Possess ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information.
- Experience handling:
- Understanding financial statement preparation (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) for multiple entities requiring intercompany eliminations.
- Bank reconciliations.
