Several species of bird, like the Variegated Fairy-wrens and the Spotless Crake, have recently returned to the area because of the extensive restoration work.<\/p>\n<p>The FOLC set a big target on all of our public planting sessions: to plant at least 2000 local native seedlings. We can accommodate up to 100 volunteers, so why not join in!<\/p>\n<p>The session runs for 3 hours in the morning, 9am to 12pm, but you can stay for as long as you like.<\/p>\n<p>Meet at 9:00 am on the east side of Lake Claremont. Walk in 200 m from the west end of Lapsley Road. Look for the FOLC yellow flag.<\/p>\n<p>Please wear closed in shoes and be prepared for rain. Gloves, tools and instruction are provided.
