Monthly Busy Bee<\/h1>\n

On the second Sunday of every month our volunteers meet at the lake to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty! The time of the year dictates the task at hand. In winter we plant, at the conclusion of planting season we begin weeding in earnest. At other times mulch needs to be spread and fences erected. There is always work to be done! It\u2019s not all hard work, we usually wrap up our sessions with a morning tea provided by some of our members. It\u2019s a great opportunity for neighbours and friends to meet and fresh recruits are always made to feel welcome.<\/p>\n

We have volunteers from all walks of life, from teenagers to retiree\u2019s. Our most senior volunteer is in her 90\u2019s and rarely misses a chance to pitch in!<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be a member of FOLC to come down and join in.<\/p>\n

All members of the public are most welcome.<\/p>\n
