Silvereye

Zosterops lateralis

The Silvereye is one of the commonest small birds of the metropolitan area. Outside the breeding season it forms feeding flocks of up to 100 birds, foraging through the bush for insects. Silvereyes also like fruit, and can cause serious damage in vineyards.
